A big "thank you" to all who were able to attend yesterday evening’s "California Priorities for 2016" event at Concordia University Irvine. It was billed as follows:
In 2016, California will face many critical issues. State Senator John Moorlach (R-37th District) will outline the challenges facing our state, the questions before the legislature, and his legislative priorities for the New Year. This will be an exclusive briefing on what to expect from Sacramento in the year ahead. Senator Moorlach is a former Orange County Supervisor, County Treasurer, and member of the Concordia Center for Public Policy Board of Directors.
I am enjoying several speaking engagements within my District. In the Local Section of the OC Register, tomorrow morning’s opportunity is mentioned in the first piece below. Discussing my experiences from this first Session and what will be pursued in our legislative efforts next year has been a blast.
Next week will feature a fun quinquennial fund raising event on December 7th. A flyer is provided at the bottom of this UPDATE.
We wrap up this year with a Christmas Open House at our new offices on December 17th. This opportunity is mentioned in the Daily Pilot, in the second piece below. A flyer for this event is also provided below. Two weeks later, after the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, it’s back to flying to Sacramento every Monday morning and returning every Thursday evening.
Speaker: The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Wake Up! Newport event will feature state Sen. John Moorlach, R – Costa Mesa, as its speaker. The event is at 7:15 a.m. Thursday at the Newport Beach Central Library, 1000 Avocado Ave.
